In memory of our collaboration with Peter W. Janz
On 11.04.2015 our former collaborating partner Peter W. Janz died at the age of 69. We can look back not only on over five years of successful collaboration in the professional field, but also on a bond of friendship that was mutually enriching, with many shared experiences. Peter W. Janz was a special person with an unmistakable charisma. Our collaboration with him gave us profound insights into the DIY industry and we are very grateful that we have not only been able to preserve but also expand Peter W. Janz' network to this day. At the recent memorial service, the famous song by OMI emphasised what Peter W. Janz was like during his lifetime: a "cheerleader" who has left us with vivid memories which will resonate for a long time to come. We will never forget Peter W. Janz and always think of him with honour.

As became known today, on 13.04.2015, Peter Janz died last Saturday in his 70th year after a short illness. Janz was considered a real veteran in the home improvement industry. Following his career positions at Emil Lux and various retail chains in differing positions, Janz spent 15 years at Praktiker, most recently as Purchasing and Sales Director.
In 1995 Janz decided to found the consulting firm ICJ Germany and in 2001 he moved its business activities to Switzerland (Lucerne). Under the name ICJ International Consulting Janz AG, the company advises trade and industry in the DIY sector, DIY stores and their suppliers.
Last year Janz had already begun to transfer the activities of ICJ International Consulting Janz AG to Gütermann Consulting GmbH, based in Germany. Now Managing Director Martin Gütermann and his wife Sabine Gütermann will continue Peter Janz’ business.
"We mourn the loss of a great man and an even greater friend - whoever knew Peter Janz knows he lived in the fast lane!"
